SH!@#$T

February 12th, 2005

The last 2 pumilio’s came well ashore. But unfortunately they all died within 14 days. Really a pity, until the moment we found them death (one we didn’t find) they were active, the first 2 already ate well. No idea what happened. You start to wonder, would it have been better if we had kept them in the greenhouse? Last year we had the same with the first clutch of pumilio bastimentos and colon of the season, they all did not make it, later clutches made it. It is still early in the season. We hoped so much, that we would get a second female. Maybe there will be soon an other clutch and will we have more luck. She is visiting regularly another bromeliad, but we cannot find a tadpole in there.
